PROFILE
The UIS Matriculation Centre was established in August 2008 to offer foundation-level programmes that prepare students for undergraduate studies at UIS. The programmes serve as pathway programmes to the bachelor's degree programmes offered by the University's faculties.
Through these programmes, UIS is committed to nurturing students with a strong academic foundation, enabling them to excel in their undergraduate studies and to develop into competent, well-rounded, and highly competitive graduates in their chosen fields.
ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CENTRE
The pre-university programmes offered by the UIS Matriculation Centre provide an alternative pathway for students to pursue undergraduate studies at UIS. These programmes offer Muslim Bumiputera students greater access to pre-university education while providing a shorter route to a bachelor's degree, bypassing the need to first complete a three-year (six-semester) diploma programme.
SPM graduates from diverse educational backgrounds who have demonstrated strong academic performance are encouraged to apply for admission to the Foundation programmes.
